A romantic country retreat set on 200 acres of untouched bushland and grass filled paddocks. Magnificent views of the Blue mountains and picturesque countryside from the house - not a neighbour in sight.
A private and peaceful escape for couples, or a group of 6. Huge Log fire, luxurious clawfoot bathtub and shower, linen supplied, TV / CD / DVD library / Book Library etc.., breakfast provisions, pet friendly with large secure backyard - access right outside the backdoor of the house.
This is a rural retreat for nature lovers, it is filled with rustic country furniture and has an eco friendly waterless toilet - which loooks just like a normal toilet and is part of the main house so you dont need to go outside to use it.
Please note: if only the main house is booked the cabin will not be occupied - unless it is part of a group booking which includes the main house.
Antique clawfoot bath and shower with continuous hot water . Separate room in the house has a waterless eco friendly toilet.

Loss of deposit. Full booking fee payable if cancelled within a 21 day period prior to arrival date. (please check the cancellation policy for lithgow tourism website they may have a charge) We do not charge full fee if we are notified early enough and can get a booking for the same dates. Cancellation from the date of confirmed booking up to the 21 days prior to arrival $150 - the same applies to change of dates.
The administration fee on refunds is AU$20.00

Queen size downstairs room - (1 couple) Loft / Library (sleeps 2 children in single fold out beds) There is also a separate cabin available (king size bed) this can only be booked when there is a group of 6 adults. Otherwise this cabin will not be occupied if someone only books the main house.

Getting There:
You can catch a train from Sydney to Lithgow or Rydal railway station both are a 15 - 20 minute drive from the station to Kookawood. Taxi available at Lithgow station. full directions and map available upon enquiry
