Jenolan Cabins - Oberon Jenolan Caves, NSW BLUE MOUNTAINS

Address:

42 Edith Road, Jenolan Caves, NSW BLUE MOUNTAINS Australia

Description:

Jenolan Cabins sit high on a hill commanding spectacular 360° views over the World Heritage Blue Mountains National Park, Kanangra Boyd National Park and the Jenolan Caves Reserve.

We have 6 two bedroom cottages sleeping up to 6 persons fully self-contained with a 3½ star AAA rating.

Jenolan Cabins have been specially built to fit within the environment on top of Porcupine Hill at Jenolan caves. They are earth-sheltered for climate control and clad in timber to allow them to integrate with the hillside.

Comfortably furnished and well warmed in the colder months by log fires, Jenolan Cabins are an ideal retreat for all your family and friends.

The cabins are built at an altitude of 1250m above sea level which puts them above the snow line. With snow falling on an average of 5 or 6 times per year, winters can be fun and exciting. On the other hand, summer is usually comfortable, allowing outdoor activities to be enjoyable.

Each cabin accommodates 6. One queen-size bed and 4 bunks per cabin.
Disabled access in one cabin.
Equipped kitchenette i.e 4 burner stove top, micro wave and a grill but no roasting oven and dining room. Bring your own food.
Lounge with large picture windows and cathedral ceiling, log fire.
Doonas and blankets supplied. Bring your own linen.
Outdoor decks with commanding views.
BBQ, laundry, public phones.
Good mobile telephone reception.
Television, VCR and DVD player available.
Bathroom in every cabin, equipped with hairdryer.

We appreciated the thoughtfulness of arriving at a warm cabin because the fire had been lit for us. We will definitely come back.

It was a wonderful surprise to stay somewhere remote and feel like you were at home because the whole place is so well set up and private at the same time. We will be back and are telling all our friends.

Loved the views, location, wallabies and crimson Rosellas that came each day, and how clean the cabins were. They are rustic with the wood fire stoves and non-flush toilets but comfortably so. We only wished we could have stayed longer and will go back some day.

this is the perfect spot if you want to have a total brak. You can do as much or as little as you like. Barry and Robyn are lovely hosts and very helpful. The Jenolan Caves are a marvel and well worth the trip ... you may need to go more than once!

Enjoyed the accommodation very much. The only matter that took some getting used to was the compostible toilet which is off putting at first. It became a talking point. I have recommended the accommodation to others and intend to stay there again at some point.

We loved our stay and it surpassed our expectations. It was really handy for the cave, fantastic outlook and close enough to drive to other destinations for day trips. Great value for money and really helpful owners. Thanks
